Equipment Wanted ([split] Sulzer Metco Equipment for Sale)
Hello Mr.Gordon,
I have joined your forum recently in may'08. I have a twin wire arc spray and HVOF HIPOJET2100 and a 6axis Kuka Robot alongwith the necessary paraphernelia. My project keyman who conceived and procured this equipment left me abruptly, before takeoff. Since then I had started learning about this thermal spray by reading books and the internet, I registered myself in your SEForum the moment I heard of it and I,m reading most of your old postings. Now I began understanding this subject and also I have a customer offering me a few TBC jobs. Now my doubt is can my HIPOJET 2100 handle Yitria stabilised Zirconium oxide. Could you kindly clear my doubt. If your answer is yes, then fine I can go ahead, if not what must I do? I must inevitably go for an APS system. At this juncture I cannot afford a brand new Plasma system, so I,m on the lookout for a used equipment and in my search I landed in your forum.Your posting on 03-19-2007 reads about a 10 year old system in poland. I would like to know if this equipment is still available, if so can you help me in making contact with the seller. If not can anybody in the forum lead me to a second hand Atmospheric Plasma Spray equipment. If things workout maybe I can express my gratitude monetarily also. As a last alternative if you could help me with the design, I can dare to make my own. Thank you Regards Sharvan Gordon Wrote:For sale: |

RE: Sulzer Metco Equipment for Sale
Hi Sharvan,
The Metco 5K guns are wire flamespray guns and will not spray zirconia nor will, to my knowledge the Hipojet 2100. For a cheaper option you could look at Rokide spraying. Either MEC, Mogul or Norton should be able to help you. I am not sure of the differences in quality between Rokide Zirconium and Plasma sprayed Zirconium though. The results are debatable between the two diiferent equipment manufacturers. |
