Are there any international standards for Babbitting by Arc Spray Process ?

Does anyone have supporting literature for babbitting on cement mill bearings ? Can you share them with me ?

Sorry, no information to hand at the moment. If I find any, I will come back. I know there has been past posts on babbitt coatings, which might be of interest. Try searching this forum and the old message board archive with "babbitt" or "white metal" or "bearing".

I can guess the reason behind your question, you have a customer that has a cast OEM babbit bearing, and you have proposed Thermal Spray Babbit as the solution. The customer wants proof that the TS Babbit will work in the application.

If this is the case, I suggest making some trials and test pieces of cast babbit and TS Babbit and proving the bond strength and durability to the customer....
