Dear Gordon and All,

We're facing a problem of buying pure aluminum powder for plasma spray process on compressor stator part of an aircraft engine type.
We've been trying to obtain this material since 5 years ago and still end up with the fact that this powder is classified and requires export munitions control licensing.
It's getting harder nowadays to get this powder, so my questions are :

1. Does anyone know an alternative material for pure aluminum powder to be applied by plasma spray that does not require any licensing? The coating will be applied on a compressor stator .
2. Does anyone have any idea how to get this material (pure Al powder) from anywhere in the world that is easy and fast in delivery time?

Hope someone would share the knowledge and experience with me .
