wire sizes and alloys for metco 10e, artistic applications...
i have recently purchased an old but functional metco 10e thermal spray gun.

i am using it for artistic applications, where i want to create alloy layers over football sized resin ovals, and sand back down through the alloys into the resin, to expose the different metal layers and their various colours.

i need to know from someone with experience spraying a wide variety of alloys, what are standard diameter sizes for a variety of metal rolls, such as steel, aluminum, stainless, bronze, copper, nickel, etc. perhaps even silver?

and what adherence properties one alloy will have with another, whether some alloys will not adhere or hold against another....

think creatively, outside the box!!! Smile

thanks,
neil
