thermal spray metco 204ns coating
Is there somebody who can help me with a perameter to spray 10% to 20% porosity on a more repeatable perameter. I have 3m/7m/9m/sg100 . My customer uses amperit#828 aggl, sint but my boss wants me to develope 204ns this is spherical powder and it's not going to well . also will slower S/F per min give higher %. any way Im under a time deadline and the wife is not a big fan of the late nights at the booth., thanks for any help retlaw

RE: thermal spray metco 204ns coating
Hi retlaw
to the Surface Engineering Forum.A few questions to get the ball rolling: What parameters are you using? What typical level of porosity are you getting? Is it denser than you want? When you say "more repeatable" does that imply that results for a certain parameter set give you inconsistent results? Are you confident that your metallographic analysis of porosity is true or consistently accurate? Regards Gordon www.gordonengland.co.uk www.surfaceengineer.co.uk Photography Obsession |
