scratch hardness test
Hi, everyone:
We spray abradable coatings (metco 307NS) for aeroplane engines. We perform scratch hardness test. So, what I need is to know, how can I check/ calibrate the scratch hardness tester. I don't have any scratch hardness standard test block, like in rockwell or vickers hardness standard test blocks. May be anyone knows. |

RE: scratch hardness test
Hi grossinka
to the Surface Engineering Forum.Sorry, I can't help with calibration test blocks. I know its difficult enough to find the Rockwell superficial HR-15Y calibration blocks for testing abradable coatings. Have you tried asking the supplier/manufacturer of the scratch tester?
