coating of aluminum cylender
Hi
What is the best coating for inside of aluminum cylender for engine of small aircraft?
material of involved ring is Iron(42-45HRC).
I coated with Cr3C2-NiCr but afer 1-2 hrs test some scratchs seen on the coated surface.
what is your idea about NiCr(80/20) coating?
Regards.

I doubt it would be any better, I think probably a lot worse.

Difficult to answer (even knowing all the missing information that is really required), but I would probably put an iron/molybdenum coating on my list to try.
