Thermal Expansion
Hello,

Thank you for reading my post.

I understand there are various equations which can be employed to determine the extent of thermal expansion upon a given component.

I would would like to read your opinions on how useful these equations are in a practical setting.

Thanks,

David

RE: Thermal Expansion
Hi David

Sign0016 to the Surface Engineering Forum.

Not sure about the various equations, but knowing the coefficient of expansion of materials relative to surface engineering can be a very important consideration.
