RE: S.O.S DURABRADE 1615
Dear Mr Luis Oliveira
O.M. Durabrade series, are chemically abradables clad composite powders, and the one you said, Durabrade 1615, is not in the latest powder directory list, so or it is a special product, for OEM use only, or there was some mistake, if you tell me powder specification, maybe I can help you with parameters, I often setting parameters for aeronautic industries applications, maybe choosing an equivalent powder that respect the OEM specifications, and I know very well Unicot system, it work better with F4 gun.
Regards
Luis

Good morning powder has the following composition: 60% aluminium silicon/ polyester 40% , and has the following p/n: 1079954 what was said by the client is that it replaces the DURABRADE 1605 p/n 1051795 what had some problems so the SULZER introduced this new product, I've thought about applying the sulzer 601ns but becomes more expensive, and as for the aviation industry I'm still not sure what that do.
Thank you for your help

RE: S.O.S DURABRADE 1615
Hi Luis
Try with this start parameters, and you must set parameters in order to obtain the best result:
Start Parameters
Powder--------------------------------Durabrade 1615
Spray Gun: -------------------------------F4
Gases:-------------------------------primary: argon
-----------------------------------------secondary: hydrogen
Spray rate (g./min):--------------------- -42
Nozzle (mm): -------------------------------6
Powder Injector: size (mm):------------2.0
Gage (mm): --------------------------------- 6.0
Angle (degrees):--------------------------105
Cooling air jets:-----------------------------60 psi/parallelPowder Feed:
Spreader assembly type:-----------------601 This item is important, you must use the special spreader and cone on the twin powder feeder
Disc rpm (%):---------------------------------65
Stirrer rpm (%):-------------------------------36
Gas Flow:
primary (l/min):--------------------------------72.0 Ar
secondary (l/min): 8.0 H2
carrier (l/min): 6.0 Ar (increase for higher hardness
and of course you must decrease disc RPM, to have the same spray rate)
Power:
arc current (amps):----------------------- --460
arc voltage (volts)about:---------------------65
Spraying:
Spray distance (millimeters):--------------120
Regards
Luis
