Repairing of delaminated areas of a WC-CoCr coating
Hi everyone:
Has anyone tried to repair delaminated areas of a WC-CoCr coating? Seems like in all the forums, the only solution is to strip the whole part and recoat it. Can you share experiences if you have tried to repair? What are the limiting principles that make so difficult to spray over a coated surface (not grinded)? Residual stresses? Clealiness? Do you consider this a topic to develop research on? Will it be of interest? The application I have in mind is WC-CoCr for hydraulic turbines. They get delaminations in small areas. Your input is appreciatted. | |||
