Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

We use a Existing Tool to puch a CRCA(MS) Sheet steel and now we are planning to redesign a TOOL which can punch a Stainless Steel.

So i recommended a A2 steel for it ...

Pls anyone can comment on this..or can u advice me differently

A2 tool steel sounds about right, but I'm no expert on tool steel selection Ashamed0002

It would be interesting to hear of any alternative material suggestions and also coatings/surface modifications that could further improve performance.
