Powder suggestions
for 10% HCl @130*F titanium substrate, roll journal. Needs wear and corrosion resistance. I am thinking WC-Co-Cr (86/10/4) or WC-CrC-Ni (73/20/7)

others?

thanks

RE: Powder suggestions
Hi Intel55

I have my doubts about these coatings being suitable. Aluminium oxide or Chromium oxide ceramic coatings could be worth consideration as these will be resistant to hydrochloric acid. Metallic coatings that stand up to hydrochloric acid are few, particularly if you are after high wear resistance as well. Metco 700, Diamalloy 4006, T800 and some of the other super alloy types may be worth looking in to.

Yeah my friend is looking into some blends now. Has same feeling as you. The guy is stuck spraying with a dj2700 with propane, so not the greatest of guns for this (especially for corrosion coatings). He is hoping to get a jp5000 soon though.
