Plasma gun SG-100
Hello!

Any body used plasma torch SG-100 by Praxair (or Thermach) with "Mach I" nozzle?
Tell me please what gases nead for this equipment and theirs flow rate.Sign0009
I was try work with Ar and H2, and I can't take "Mach I" - only subsonic flame Mad0228

Thanks.

I use Ar & He but it should work with your gases as well.

As for the flows, what are you spraying and can you supply me with the exact hardware you are using?

Steph.

Hi Steph

Sign0016 to the Surface Engineering Forum and thank you for your contribution.

Hi Panf

Not to knowledgable on the SG-100, but generally Ar/He is used for the higher velocity spraying.

RE: Plasma gun SG-100
Hi Steph
I have GTV console MF-P-1000 with power supply 1000A/100V
Anode 2083-155, Cathode 1083-112, gas injector 1083-113
and I want to spray Cr2O3.
to my knowledge, voltage on gun must be 30...40V (correct my, if I wrong), but I have 60V with 50LPM Argon only.
Why it's may be?

RE: Plasma gun SG-100
The Praxair's Technical data asked to use the parameter to spray Cr2o3 as below:
Anode:2083-720, Cathode:1083A-720, Gas injector 1083-113.
Ar: 87 SCFH, H2:2-3 SCFH, A:450, V:39-41.

If you still want to use the "Mach 1", try He as second gas, please.
