RE: Member Survey
Hi collegues of surfaces,
I've known this forum some years ago and since there and first of all I'd like to thanks Gordon for the opportunity for dialogue.
I've been working as surface engineer dealing with corrosion and wear degradation, and looking for solution sometimes by thermal spray.
Nice to join you,
Moira

When I want to fix something, I find the oldest guy there.
When I want a free lunch, i look fro the youngest engineer or salesman.
Loss of experienced employees is among business's biggest failings right now. They seem oblivious to the harm it is doing and are completely unwilling to prepare for the retirement or loss of experienced employees.

This global forum is a great source for relevant data in the coatings industry!
I might be just a operator yet I have gained a working knowledge just by reading the threads in this forum.
Thanks gordon

Hello all,

I just wanted to stop by here to introduce myself before I asked my question that I cannot seem to find an answer for anywhere else!

I work in the aerospace/gas turbine engine overhaul industry. We use a variety of thermally applied coatings. Our systems include flame, plasma and dual wire (arc). I am working on an HVOF system but I can only hope.
I was trust into this role as another engineer left for greener pastures. 3 years in and I wouldn't turn back.

Hello!
