Dear all,
As the material and mechanic students we are working on a new design of HVOF gun, we have some problems in the test step of our gun
In which procedure oxygen and fuel (LPG) valves should be opened and closed for safe operation and avoiding from flash back?
could you please send us any offer about testing?
you can see our gun in following links

Thank you

Hi Sutech

Sign0016 to the Surface Engineering Forum.

I will copy your original post to form a new thread "Safety Guidelines - Handling and Use of Gases in Thermal Spraying". Please post there for continued discussion on this particular topic and not in this thread.
[Edit - Notice your similar post "valve opening procedure" in "Forum and Website" forum section and your links work here Smile I will move this one instead to "Surface Engineering" forum section http://www.gordonengland.co.uk/sef/valve...t-609.html as I think this is a more suitable place]

I'm sorry, your links appear not to work. I suspect you copied a long link direct into your post and it has been truncated. You need to use the "Insert hyperlink" tool. See screen captures below:

Please try and edit your post and post in new thread. Alternatively, you could try uploading direct as attachments.

Hello all.

NEWBY here. Not quite an old fart, but willing to learn. Just an art shop owner and fabricator. Looking for ways to improve my products. Heres one with powder sprayed bronze and copper on stainless.

Here is a section of one of three sculptures we also did.[Image: sculpturefurniture015.jpg]

What do you think guys/gals?

Also looking for affordable way to build up coatings faster. We have coated glass, wood, some metals, and are currently seeking ways to spray into molds and not have to farm out casting to the foundries. Ideas?

Thanks,

Bill

Best to open new thread in the main Surface Engineering Forum, rather than bury good topics in this thread. Smile

Hello all,

I'm a thermal spray operator in an Aircraft engine overhaul facility in Wales, UK. We do repairs on aircraft components with sulzer metco plasma F4/F1/3MB, HVOF Diamond Jet, flame spray and TAFA wire arc guns.

Thought i'd join up as we sometimes get problems with our coatings and maybe you guys can help us out with some practical advice.

Thanks in advance!

Sam
