Machining for Aluminum Bronze wire flame spray
Parameter for machining of spray Al Bronze coating by wire flame spray

Dear all,
Happy New Year 2011...
Please let us know the parameter for machining of spray Al Bronze coating by wire flame spray, since we have sprayed using Brass wire and the result so many porousity, tried to use al-bronze, if anyone in this group has ever been tried this material ?

the al bronze coating is porous from flame spray wire.. if you have to use flame spray you can try metco 445 powder. for machining .010 cuts for rough cutting and .002 finish cutting should be good. It seems to turn out better with endmills.

I tried to use arc-spray and the porous not as many as flame one, using RIMA C13 wire, thanks for your advise...
