Life of JP 5000 Gun Parts?
Hello,

Everyone here!

There are many threads here related to this subject but very less information provided by only few limited users therefore, request all of JP 5000 users to share their practical experience about life of these parts importantly for barrels (4" & 6"), Combustion Chamber & Coaxial Stabilizer?

There are many offers we receive & all are under consideration, apart from initial cost of the system it would be important for us to know the operating cost too, major cost is involved in replacement of these parts so knowing life of these parts will play important factor in finalizing this purchase.

Barrel being the most severally worn out part will be one of the focus point, A manufacturer from India has suggest two types of barrel - standard & custom coated (long life barrel), does anybody have idea about these two qualities & what is the actual life differences between both?

Thanks in advance

I have past experience in my early company, previously use simple copper barrel & later got this long life custom coated barrel which increased life! I am not good enough with JP system so do not know life of other parts Sad may be some body with experience can tell you.

Cheers

Dany

If you are looking at life cycle costs, you should also look at HVAF guns. They can provide the same or better coating quality as a JP5000, but the gun parts last a lot longer. Typically, I hear a JP barrel (nozzle) lasts 8-16 hours. An HVAF nozzle by contrast will go 200-300 hours. There is also the issue of powder consumption. I have seen my customers reduce powder consumption 25-50% when they switch from JP to HVAF.

Dear HvofHamid,

Your claim for longer life of parts is good but in this document I can not understand any thing due to different language & also I cann't convert it into english language!

Can you tell us in brief what this paper is all about & what is the method inside which claim such a longer life of these parts?

Thanking you

Dany
