Lightning  How to spray nano-hydroxyapatite (HAp) powder
I want to deposit nano-HAp coating for bio-implants. While spraying with plasma the phase transformation takes place at 1000 °C and complete melting occurs at 1650 °C. Also these coatings work with high porosity > 10% as porous voids allow the body tissues to penetrate and to grow.
So can anyone suggest me how to deposit this coating by other process with least transformation and high porosity. I think cold spray can overcome the problem of transformation but how will I get high porosity.

You need low particle velocity combined with low combustion temperature and/or short dwell time in the flame. You can also increase your stand-off distance to increase coating porosity. HVAF would be a good alternative to cold spray. Contact me off-line if you would like to investigate this.

you can to use "solutions suspension system". I have lats of articles about this nano particular HVOF coatings. I remember that you can spray nano HAP with HVOF. And the results are wery good. If you want i will send you some articles by email.

Dear Sir
PLS look:

But the main is that the coat by HVOF is simple. The most important post-processing required to give the desired structure.
