How do you estimate costs of your project?

Im interested to know more about how you calculate or estimate costs of painting project or such surface engineering projects ..what elements do u care of more than others when you bid for a project?

Calculating material usage and time required. Best calculated from past experience on similar jobs/projects. Failing that, you need to rely in the material suppliers product information, like coverage rate, deposit efficiency etc., though it does not always work out as said on the tin . Doing trials can be important when job/project is large and majority of cost lies with materials and labour.
