How do I password protect a word document?
Hi Friends,

I have the 2011 Microsoft Word and I wanted to password protect a certain document. I tried to go to tools, protect document, and enter in a password, but when I went to open it, it opened right up it didn't ask for a password or anything. Did I do something wrong? Or will the password only work if you forward it to someone etc,. I just want some of my confidential documents protected so if someone goes onto my computer they can't get all of my information.

Thank You
