Hardness tester 2
Does anyone know if there are any standards for testing the hardness of carbide tool inserts?

RE: Hardness tester 2
The standards related to hardness testing are related to the test procedure, not so much for the end product. You should test the hardness with an appropriate tester and report it with the test method. For instance, the hardness could be 1,200 HV300 which would indicate a hardness of 1,200 Vickers when tested with a 300 gram load. If your customer requires a specific hardness, they must specify which test/scale they want you to use.
