Hi RVRTRSH

Sign0016 to the Surface Engineering Forum.

I think FM 1000 adhesive film is made by Cytec Industries Inc, USA. Web site: http://www.cytec.com/

Hope that helps Smile

Thanks Gordon, I found Cytec Industries but they are asking for a weight or nominal thickness and I am not sure what that would be. In the spec they do not require a thickness, so she is quoting us on the .010" thickness. I am new to HVOF coating so I am glad that I found this web site. I am sure you will get many more questions from me in the future. Thanks again.

Hi RVRTRSH

I have not tried this product, but hear that it is good. I would assume you need to select the thickness of film that will more than fill the gap, after consideration of coating flatness and surface roughness.

Hi RVRTRSH,
Usually, you can buy FM1000 at Couch Sales LLC (couchsalesllc.com) but now they do not have it in stock.
Or can anybody recommnd other the place that sells FM1000?
Best Regards,
Eva

Sorry it took me so long to get back to this post. I got in touch with Rob @ Couch Sales and he got me what we needed. We built a fixture and sent some samples to the lab, just waiting to hear back. Thanks for all the info.
