Diamond grinding problem
Dear Sef members,

We have a problem about diamond grinding wheels. Our Diamond grinding wheel's surface was shedding(poured). How can we to set-square (sharpening) the surface of the diamond wheel.

I think the problem has occurred because it touches the metal surface. How can we fix this problem? How to sharpen the surface of the diamond wheel.

Hi Metallurgy_eng

I'm no expert on this, but I think you need to get a dressing tool.

Hi Metallurgy_ engg

You can dress up your diamond grinding wheel with white wheel (i.e Aluminum Oxide Wheel which will be used for metal substrate grinding).

We are regularly doing same thing to dress up all our diamond grinding wheels and results are very good.

Regards,
sreenivas

Manual dressing of the grinding wheels could be done by mounting the wheel dresser on the grinder table. Bring the rotating grinding wheel up close to the diamond .Never dress without coolant.

RE: Diamond grinding problem
Dear Metallurgy_eng
"Greasing" is eliminated by dressing surface of diamond wheel by mild abrasive stone from Al2O3.At the same time you remove a bond between the diamond grains and do not spoil yourself grain. This is the easiest option.More complex is the electro-erosion dressing. The digits are removed bond, but do not touch the diamond grains.
Our firm A.Termika Ltd uses manufacturing of diamond grinding wheels by deposition an abrasive layer by flame spray. Deposited mix from bond and diamond powder.
