Cold spraying titanium nitride
Hi,
I've been trying to find out if it is possible to cold spray titanium nitride with a binder onto steel ? Just wondering if anyone has any experience or can point me to an article? I have searched with no success. Many Thanks

RE: Cold spraying titanium nitride
Hi AnthonyE
to the Surface Engineering Forum. Can't help on this one, other than to say with the right ductile binder (pretty sure not possible without) I think it should be possible with some development work. Regards Gordon www.gordonengland.co.uk www.surfaceengineer.co.uk Photography Obsession |

I would add Powdermet in the USA to the list of helpful companies. They can supply you with the powder you need for your trials.

RE: Cold spraying titanium nitride
I'd also suggest contacting TWI (the welding institute) in the UK. I know they've been doing work with cold spray.
