Cold spray
Dear colleagues

Is there anybody using the cold spray on this site? What it would be your overall feed-back about it? How expensive is the equipment and the running costs compared with HVOF?
Is there somebody spraying Ti for example with cold spray? How does it work? Thank you for your input!

Best regards,
Florin

Hi Florin,

For Ti is very good HVAF arc spray.

Hello Florin

ColdSpray is less expensive than HVOF

Yes I have made Ti coating with cold spray, pure Ti work very fine, TA6V doesn't work. I have already show this to someone in your company! Really this far better than under APS. You can do test with LERMPS.
I think it is perhaps possible that Ti can be spray with simple low pressure coldspray at around 8 bar too but I never try it. To test.

Olivier
