Coating of pump casing ?
We was found interior of pump casing has wear corrosion from pulp, water and sand are mixing in system. If this case what we can use material to protective ?

Thanks

RE: Coating of pump casing ?
I am assuming this is a papermill application and that is the source of the pulp. My first suggestion would be to get a pump casing of a harder alloy if the fluid has a high percentage of solids, because there are some applications that are just aggressive and will wear through anything that you can come up with. If the % of solids is moderate or fairly low, then you may want to try something like a Stellite 6 by HVOF with a topcoat/sealcoat of Belzona 1341. The USACE did some studies with such a system and found that the hard wear characteristics of the sprayed metal are actually enhanced by the super smooth surface left by the epoxy material. Essentially what happens is the epoxy fills the peaks and valleys between splats and reduces the available angles for particulate to impact the thermal sprayed coating. Pretty clever solution.
