Brush instead grit blasting
Dear Gordon
Simply, is it any possible to use wheel brush instead grit blasting to increase surface roughness. We have experienced that machine brushing gives very good adhesion , pretty much similar to grit blasting. Regards, |

RE: Brush instead grit blasting
What roughness profile do you get with the brush?
Could you share details of the wheel brush? Regards K09 |

We got an average roughness Ra=16 microns, by using tyrolit wheel brush which doesn't leave any impurities in workpiece when brushing. It is important to say that we use this procedure after preheating, and it's giving a good results. But on the other hand , we've seen that many of you first start grit blasting, and after 30min preheating and so on... Our results seem to be very good, maybe a bit better if we found even better wheel brush Regards |
