Anti-Stick/wear coating

Hello,

I am looking for a thermal sprayed coating with excellent anti-stick and good wear resistance. This will replace chrome plating on an aluminum plate to prevent toner adhesion and paper stoppage.

I have found some product such as those offered by http://www.poeton.co.uk

don't know if one particular product will be the best solution (past experience ) ?

Consider a thermal spray coating (I've seen alumina, tungsten carbide, molybdenum and NiCrBSi used) as sprayed and then post treated with a PTFE (teflon) oven cured type coating. PTFE provides the non-stick, the thermal spray coating provides anchorage and wear resistance. Same type of coating you see on some of the more expensive and durable non-stick frying pans

Just looked at your link and think the Apiticote 810 is similar to what I was describing before. I know a few UK based companies that specialise in these types of coating. PM or email me if you need contacts.

A possible alternative to that mentioned above, might be thermal spray coatings formed from powders of PTFE particles clad inside ceramics or metal. Big advantage being a one step process. Doubtful if they would provide the same performance as the thermal spray coating + PTFE post treatment though. Would be grateful for any comments from people that have experience of the PTFE/ceramic or metal composite powder.
