Advantages of forced cooling of components during Plasma Spray Process -- Reg
Respected Forum Members,

Please any one share experience regarding possible heat removal (Temperature drop) on component during plasma spray process by providing forced air cooling through compressed dry air of 2 bar pressure for 7% Yitria Stabilized Zirconia Coating on Medium size component.

Regards,

SREENIVAS

Hi Sreenivas

That will depend very much how, where and how much

Are we taking general air blast cooling of part as a whole or more localised cooling

Generally the more localised the air blast relative to the point of spray impact the more efficient the heat removal ie. remove some of the heat before it has chance to soak in to part.
