Coating on Chilled Cast Iron

Could I coat 13% Chrome steel wire using an arc spray equipment on a Chilled Cast Iron Roll ? Are there any specific precautions that need to be taken ?
Some scoring marks have appeared on the chilled cast iron roll, because of which the coating is required. An hardness of 40 Hrc is sufficient.
