: Can anyone tell me if Hasteloy-C22 can be chromium Carbide Coated?
Hasteloy-C22 (approx. nominal comp.22Cr,13Mo,3W,),can be coated with Cr-carbide( preferably mixed with Ni-Cr bond coat) by thermal spray processes such as HVOF/Plasma.Also PVD deposition of the carbide is possible alternative for thin film coating.
