Dear Jim For optimizing the spray parameters the best method is Taguchi method but it is very time consuming. So it is suggested that you can go for On-line particle diagnosing system so that you fine tune your parametrs in real time. It is suggested that you may refer to my paper Titled "Optimization of spray parametrs.........." published in the poster session of the recently concluded ITSC 2005.
