: Asking for best surfacing method aluminium wire against corrosion. Have somebody experience with HVOF?

I don't think there is any evidence that shows that one method is better than another for applying zinc or aluminium coatings purely on the grounds of corrosion resistance. The amount of material in these (sacrificial type) coatings seems to be the biggest factor in determining life, rather than coating density. Most other coatings though will be very sensitive to surfacing method as they will rely on coating density to exclude the environment.

Some experience with plasma and HVOF aluminium coatings, but all of these coatings had other primary functions above that of corrosion resistance.
