: Hi, I need help
: I am new in metal spray.
: I have problem with NiCrAlY bond coat. I use F1 gun (APS) and I have big problem with globular oxidation.
: I used a typical parameter set from the spraying manual. I don't know which parameters are necessary to change
: to avoid globular oxidation in the coating. I am distressful and I don't know what to do to improve my process.
: Can anybody help me please?
: Thank you in advance.
Is it possible to see a photomicrogaph of the coating showing the problem? Very often these problems are not actually caused by the plasma gun settings, but through powder fines and spray debris being entrained in the coating. Check your powder. Slight changes in spray angle, traverse speeds, use of air jets may help.
