Hi Gordon
We are having an application where we are using a sleeve type bearing made of a resin called Moglice, and it slides on a shaft. The smoothness of motion is very critical for us (for imaging n medical applications) but we are to avoid lubrication if possible totally as it is being used in a medical environment.
Is there any type of surface coating or finish that we can provide on the shaft which makes it extremely fine surface offering less resistance to the bearing, thereby increasing the wear resistance on the bearing. This application is tested for life for about 5,00,000 cycles and need to pass thru that. Though the load on that is minimal we would like to improve the surface finish on the shaft to get maximum smoothness.
Please advice on the best way forward and some contact details?
Thanks and Regards
