I am looking at importing a product from Japan...nano-sized particles (2-8nm in dia.) of TiO2 suspended in purified water. The TiO2 is applied to surfaces rendering them self-cleaning...very sexy!
The application process simply involves using a conventional spray gun (0.8mm needle) and air compressor.
However, I have a number of questions:
1)Firstly, does this sound feasible?
2)Will the particles adhere to any surface?
3)How durable will the coating be without a binder?
4)What are the areas of concern when using this technique?
5)Please feel free to advise me on anything related to the topic of spraying nano-sized particles (TiO2 or other).
Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Steve.
