: We are facing problem of wear and pitting on cam plate and rollers of Distributor type of Fuel Injection pumps used in Diesel engines under field conditions where the Diesel quality is suspect as well as traces of water in the lubrication media. Just to inform that in these pumps the CAM and rollers are sorrounded by Diesel and it is the lubrication media. Would look for suggestion of the possible coatings if already tried or could be tried to improve the situation.
: Suggest low friction DLC-WC coating by EBPVD9 See p143-144 of my book "Advanced Thermally Assisted Surface Engineering Processes" ( Kluwer Academic Publishers, 2004) for details.
