: Does anyone know if you can re-deposit aluminum flame spray on top of cured aluminum flame spray? The base material is epoxy laminate. Will the second layer of aluminum stick to the 1st layer of aluminum & will it warp the epoxy?
Hi Mack
If the aluminium coating is sound and will accept cleaning and light grit blasting without failure, it may be possible. If you are trying to patch repair areas where the coating has been lost, again it may be possible with care. The best course of action though is to completely strip the old coating and start again.
