Dear all,
During a research programm it was mentioned that grit blasting may influence the residual stress level in thermal sprayed coatings. High compressive stresses in the base material resulting from grit blasting were said to reduce the tensile stresses in the coating.
Can someone tell me more about this and preferably point me to some relevant literature.
