Hi Vladimir

Titanium carbide can only be effectively applied as an HVOF coating when combined with a binder or matrix material as in tungsten carbide/cobalt.

I have not come across any commercial TiC based HVOF powders. There were some powders based on TiC/Ni (or Co) and WTiC/Ni but I don't think they were in common use. I have not had the opportunity to evaluate these coatings yet, but would expect applications and properties to be roughly similar to the tungsten carbide and chromium carbide type coatings.
