: : Does anyone have any experience of thermal spray coatings applied to cast iron, in particular SG iron. Info on expected bond strength compared to coatings on steel components would be appreciated

: Hi Geoff
: A minor reduction in adhesion strength may be expected, but nothing to worry about. Some cast irons though, can be porous and hold oil, cutting fluids etc. and care is needed to remove this before grit blasting and spraying or adhesion will be adversly effected.

This site is protected by WPOISON in an attempt to stop email harvesting, although I'm not sure if it is 100% effective. Geoff is wise and has shown us another simple way to hide email addresses from email harvesting spiders/robots by inserting NOSPAM into the address. Slightly inconvenient, but better than being bombarded with junk mail.
