The best wear resistant coatings are WC/Co. If however you want a bit of added corrosion resistance you would probably go for what we call an 86/10/4 which is a WC/Co/Cr in those ratios. This is usually an HVOF sprayed coating and used a lot in the Oil & Gas industry. Amdry 5843 is a typical eaxample.
