: Hi Gordon

: For Metco 7M, I spray Al2O3+13Tio2 on 2 mm thickness Aluminium Alloy and 98Cr2o3 on 0.7 mm Stainless steel, is there best choice of nozzle dia. size, outlet shape and powder tube dia. size?

Hi Juan

The best nozzle for ceramic spraying generally is the GH when using argon primary gas and the G if using nitrogen. If using very fine powders a smaller bored nozzle may be applicable in rare cases. Powder port #2 is generally best.

If your intention is to make your own nozzles to specifically suit each individual powder and coating will require a lot of development work. Probably best to first optimise parameters around existing nozzles and hardware.
