: : Who can give me some idea about how to grind and polish the Al2O3+TiO2 plasma sprayed ceramic coating in concave surface? workingpiece was yarn guide wheel.
: : they were without precise dimension requirement. But we hope to improve the efficiency in grinding.
: : I appreciate if I can get reply.

: Hi Jian

: What grinding and polishing methods have you tried and what finish or texture do you require?
: Normally, diamond grinding initially with 150 grit wheels are recommended, but with your application it may be worth considering a brushing method particularly if dimensional or flatness are not important factors.

: Regards Gordon

Hi Gordon
The requirement of finish is Ra 0.3 to 0.6 for Al2O3+13TiO2 coating with layer thickness from 150 to 250 um. Ra 1.2 to 1.6 for Cr2O3 coating with layer thickness form 100 to 150 um.
