: We have a plasma coating process that spray 0.025"
: thickness METCO 450NS powder onto a concave surface
: (about 1" inch ID), the coating was chipped after
: machining. Appreciate, if someone has good suggestions
: to figure out plasma coating chipping problem ? TKS

I THINK THE REASON IS STRESS, TRY TO REDUCE IT.
I HAD MET SOME PROBLEM BEFORE.
TRY:
1. MULTI-THIN FILM
2. COOLING
3. MIDDLE NI/AL LAYER
4. ROUGH EDGE
5. IMPROVING MACHINING METHOD
