You may want to try ASTM O6 tool steel at 60-62 HRC. It contains free graphite in the microstructure which makes it very good at resisting metal to metal galling and wear. The graphite also helps hold lubricant. The Timken trade name for O6 is Graph-Mo. See our data sheet at the link below.
