wear rate between HVOF & chromium plating

Posted by Chia on April 15, 2003 at 04:36:21:

hi there,
i am curretnly trying to look for some info. of the difference of wear on a part (crescent 347 & inco 718) done with HVOF spraying and chromium plating in a circular tube. the wear should be different between a part done with HVOF spraying and plating where the HVOF spraying is more lasting towards wear but how much is the difference?
would appreciate it if there was a site somewhere that can relate that information for me or maybe, a test procedure that anyone can recommend to get this result. thanks.
