: Can anyone recommend a powder for flame spraying onto electroplated nickel as a bond coat for top coat of aluminium?

Hi Catherine

Try a 95/5 nickel/aluminium composite or alloy powder. Metco 450 or 480 type materials or equivalents. I assume you are trying to avoid any grit blast preparation. Using the highest substrate preheat possible without surface discolouration will help improve bonding.
